August 25 AN ORDINANCE , AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Item 1 (b) of Section 10-4-3 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as enacted by Bill No. 114 of 1959 and amended by Bill No. 8 of 1960, relating to wiring standards of the Electrical Code. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Item 1 (b) of Section 10-4-3 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as enacted by Bill No. 114 of 1959 and amended by Bill No. 8 of 1960, relating to wiring standards of the Electrical Code, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 10-4-3. Wiring standards. Item 1. Enclosed wiring required. "(b) In any public buildings such as churches, schools, hospitals, hotels, stores, theaters, commercial buildings and garages or in industrial and manufacturing establishments or in warehouses or in any semi-public building such as rest homes, nursing homes, fraternities or sororities where six (6) or more persons, not members of a family, are roomed or housed or in buildings containing multiple -dwelling occupan- cies of six (6) or more units anywhere in Salt Lake City." SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 25th day of August , 1964.
