The Oath of Office Ceremony for Salt Lake City Mayor and Council
Districts 2, 4, and 6 was held Monday, January 4, 2016, at 12 : 02 p.m.
on the east steps of the City and County Building, 451 South State .
The following Council Members were present :
Charlie Luke Kyle LaMalfa Erin Mendenhall
Luke Garrott Stan Penfold Lisa Adams
James Rogers
Mayor Ralph Becker; Cindy Gust-Jenson, Executive Council
Director; and Cindi Mansell, City Recorder; were present.
12:02:18 PM Councilmember Garrott presided at and conducted the
Induction Ceremony.
FLAG CEREMONY
12:03:15 PM The Flag Ceremony/Pledge of Allegiance was lead by the
West High School Junior ROTC Honor Guard.
12:04:01 PM The National Anthem was sung by vocalist Emilee Floor.
12:06:36 PM Welcome to Guests and Elected Officials by Luke
Garrott, Council Chair.
OATH OF OFFICE FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS
#1 . 12:08:57 PM The Oath of Office was administered to Charlie
Luke, District 6, by The Honorable Judge Bruce S . Jenkins, United
States District Court.
12:11:10 PM Comments by Councilmember Luke .

Kitchen, District 4, by Cindi Mansell, Salt Lake City Recorder.
