B. 9:04:44 PM (TENTATIVE) Blue Ribbon Housing Commission Status
The Council may wish to discuss the status of this item.
Cindy Gust-Jenson,Council Executive Director, explained there was confusion among Staff
regarding the Mayor's Blue Ribbon Housing Commission. She said Councilmember Rogers
had been selected as the Council's representative to serve on the Commission however,it was
not confirmed. She asked the Council how they would like this handled. She also indicated
Staff was waiting for the Mayor's office to confirm if one or two Councilmember's were needed
to serve on the Commission.
It was clarified by the Mayor that one Councilmember and one back-up(in case the
representative could not attend)were needed to serve on the Commission. Council Members
agreed to have Councilmember Rogers serve as the representative and Councilmember
Adams as the back-up.
Information Needed by Council Staff
C. 9:07:01 PM Council Board Appointments - Subcommittee for interviews
In general the Mayor suggests board appointments for the Council to consider, but there are
a few cases where the Council is responsible to both suggest and approve members(3 spots
on the Citizens Compensation Advisory Committee and 5 spots on the Metro Water Board).
There are two pending vacancies to the Metro and one on CCAC. Staff sent information to
the Council in email for potential board member applicants and is checking back in with
Council Members.
The list of potential applicants is provided in red folders for the Council's review and
direction to staff.
Ms.Gust-Jenson stated this was a reminder for Council to submit any ideas they had to Staff
for potential board member applicants. She also asked the Council to submit any feedback
they had on the applicants that had been submitted. She said anyone nominated would
come before the council for an interview in a public meeting.
Councilmember Adams said she was impressed with the resumes of everyone received and
felt comfortable interviewing those applicants and then making recommendations.
Councilmember Penfold indicated they could move forward with the process.
D. 9:08:24 PM November meeting date for Redevelopment Agency(RDA)
Currently, the RDA meeting in November is scheduled to take place on Nov. 21st.Typically,
RDA meetings are scheduled for the second Tuesday of the month. This would mean the
RDA could/should be scheduled for Nov. 14th.
Which date would the Council like to schedule for the November RDA meeting?
Council Members agreed to schedule the November RDA meeting on the second Tuesday,
Nov. 14th.
Ms. Gust-Jenson said the RDA Chair suggested switching the March 21st and March 28th
meetings, meaning the Council work session and formal meeting would be held on March
21st and the RDA meeting and Council work session would be held on March 28th.No

WASATCH CHOICE 2050 SCENARIO WORKSHOPS
The Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC), in close collaboration with the Utah Department of
Transportation and the Utah Transit Authority, invites you to participate in upcoming scenario workshops
to develop the Wasatch Choice 2050 Vision.
These very important workshops will offer a hands-on, interactive opportunity for city and county elected
officials and staff to provide critical feedback regarding the future of their communities and the entire
region. Participants will weigh in on three scenarios developed to show future growth outcomes based on
different types of transportation and land use investments.
Your attendance at these workshops is critical since they are a key milestone in a four-year process to
develop the Wasatch Choice 2050 Vision, the 2019-2050 Regional Transportation Plan, and Utah's Unified
Transportation Plan.
