1.Council Member Victoria Petro will conduct the formal meeting.

B.PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1.Ordinances: Truth-in-Taxation Hearing for Fiscal Year 2024-25
The Council will accept public comment and consider adopting one or more ordinances
adopting the final rate of tax levy, for all City funds including the Library Fund, in an
amount greater than the Certified Tax Rate, upon all real and personal property within
Salt Lake City made taxable by law for Fiscal Year 2024-25 and adopting the final budget,
including the Library Budget, for Fiscal Year 2024-25.

Ben Luedtke gave a brief overview of the tax information.
Dennis Phan stated the pubic utilities stabilization fee should be reconsidered because
it punishes those trying to conserve water by charging them for water they were not using.
Motion:
Moved by Council Member Mano, seconded by Council Member Dugan to
close the public hearing and adopt Ordinance 62 of 2024, establishing the
final rate of tax levy, including the final levy for the Library Fund, upon all
real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law for
fiscal year 2024-2025, and ratify the budget as adopted by the Council in
June.
AYE: Chris Wharton, Daniel Dugan, Darin Mano, Sarah Young, Eva Lopez Chavez,
Victoria Petro
ABSENT: Alejandro Puy
