Resolution: Canvass of the Salt Lake City Municipal General Election 2023
The Board will consider adopting a resolution canvassing, accepting, and approving the
results of the Municipal General Election held in Salt Lake City, Utah, on November 21,
2023.
Cindy Lou Trishman read the results of the 2023 Municipal General Election provided
by Salt Lake County and clarified that all elected officials would be sworn in on January 2,
2024.
Rachel Otto voted to adopt the Resolution canvassing, accepting, and adopting the
results of the 2023 Municipal General Election on behalf of the Salt Lake City Mayor.
Motion:
Moved by Board Member Valdemoros, seconded by Board Member Wharton
to adopt Resolution 1 of 2023, Canvass of the Salt Lake City Municipal
General Election 2023.
AYE: Ana Valdemoros, Alejandro Puy, Chris Wharton, Daniel Dugan, Darin Mano, Sarah
Young, Victoria Petro, Rachel Otto
Final Result: 8 – 0 Pass
