Annual Meeting Calendar — July Meeting Dates In July and August, the Council typically only schedules two meetings each month to accommodate summer schedules. The Council has not yet decided which meeting dates to have in July. Two tentative dates were originally published to give the Council options to decide at a later date. The current schedule is listed below: July Meetings • Tuesday,July 3 —No Meeting • Wednesday,July 4 Independence Day-Holiday • Tuesday,July io RDA Meeting,Council Work Session • Tuesday,July 17(TENTATIVE) Council Work Session&Formal Meeting • Tuesday,July 24 — No Meeting Pioneer Day-Holiday • Tuesday,July 31 (TENTATIVE) Council Work Session&Formal Meeting ➢ Does the Council want to keep the current schedule to avoid a meeting on the week of July 4th? ➢ In order to have two formal meetings, would the Council like to add aformal meeting to July loth? ➢ When would the Council like to have another Council Meeting in July? Council Members agreed to re-visit the announcement in 3o days, once more was known about the Stadler Rail project. B. Legislative Subcommittee Section C.18 in the City Council policy manual states that the Legislative Subcommittee shall be made up of the respective City Council and RDA Board Chairs, plus a third Council Member elected by the Council. It also states that terms on the subcommittee run from April until the end of the next Utah Legislature session in March, and if a Council Member defers serving on the subcommittee that another Council Member will be appointed with the Council's advice and consent. Council Members Mendenhall and Kitchen, respectively, are chairs of the City Council and RDA Board. ➢ Who would the Council propose to serve as the third member of the subcommittee? Council Members Luke, Johnston, Fowler, and Wharton expressed interest to serve on the Legislative Subcommittee. Council Members agreed to re-visit the announcement after the formal meeting, because Councilmember Mendenhall was not present for the discussion; however, the discussion was not held.
