The meeting was held at Lamb' s Restaurant, 169 South Main. Present: Rendell Mabey, Chair John Gust Gainor Bennett, Vice Chair Rick Graham Kevin Anderson Teresa Law Rex Kennedy Excused: • George Allen Marcia Price Ross Anderson Clayton White Jules Dreyfous Grenville Roles Absent: Conrad Harrison Jim Ure ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT Rick reported that Mark Stackhouse was hired for the Public Relations position. Some reorganization and job description changes have taken place. Steve will now be responsible for the daily operations of the Aviary, which will give Grenville more time to manage the Aviary. Steve will also continue with the bird show. Mark and Grenville are developing a 5-year public relations program which will be presented to the Board at the next meeting. PHEASANTRY UPDATE Rick reported that the design is completed and the construction drawings are 90% complete. Construction should begin at the end of March, weather permitting. OTHER BUSINESS John suggested putting a small concession stand in the Aviary. The Parks Depart- ment owns a small wagon concession stand that would go very well in the Aviary. Rendell commented that he has enjoyed his association with the Board and the Parks Department. He appreciates their willingness and their efforts. The next meeting will be held on February 5, 1986 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parks Department.
