TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 , 2017
The Board of Directors of the Local Building Authority of Salt Lake City,
Utah, met on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 7 : 03 p.m. in Room 315, Council
Chambers, City County Building, 451 South State.
The following Board Directors were present:
Erin Mendenhall Stan Penfold Charlie Luke
Andrew Johnston Lisa Adams James Rogers
Derek Kitchen
Cindy Gust-Jenson, Council Executive Director; Jacqueline
Biskupski, Mayor; David Litvack, Mayor' s Deputy Chief of Staff; Margaret
Plane, City Attorney; Jennifer Bruno, Council Deputy Executive Director;
and Kory Solorio, Assistant City Recorder; were present.
Director Penfold presided at and Director Rogers conducted the
meeting.
AGENDA ITEMS
7 :23:11 PM Councilmember Penfold moved and Councilmember Johnston
seconded to recess as the City Council and convene as the Board of
Directors of the Local Building Authority, which motion carried, all
members voted aye .
#1 . 7:23:35 PM Public comment on a Local Building Authority budget
proposal for the construction of Fire Station No. 3 . The new station
will be built at 2425 South 900 East on a parcel adjacent to Forest Dale
Golf Course. View Attachments
George Chapman spoke in opposition of the new fire station building
location and asked the Council not to approve the proposed budget
amendment.
Director Penfold moved and Director Johnston seconded to close the
public hearing and defer action to a future Council meeting, which motion
carried, all directors voted aye .

7 :25:06 PM Director Penfold moved and Director Mendenhall seconded
to adjourn as the Board of Directors of the Local Building Authority and
reconvene as the City Council, which motion carried, all directors voted
aye .
The meeting adjourned at 7 : 25 p.m.
