A. Council Group Photo 2018
The Council Group photo session will be on Tuesday, January 16 at
1:15 p.m. Please meet in the Council Office. Staff will send, in email,
more information about clothing suggestions, logistics, etc. Cindy
Gust-Jenson, Council Executive Director, reminded the Council about
the group photograph scheduled at the City and County Building on
January 16, 2018 at 1:15 p.m. A question was asked whether the photo
would be inside or outside. Councilmember Mendenhall asked Staff to
add that information to the calendar. Ms. Gust-Jenson asked Robyn
Hoggan, Staff Assistant, to update the calendar and include
information about whether it was inside or outside.
ADDITIONAL ITEM:
Ms. Gust-Jenson said Tuesday, January 3o, 2018 was reserved for the
Council retreat which would be held at the Leonardo. Discussion was
held on what time Council Members wanted to start the meeting. A
majority of the Council was in favor of 2:oo p.m.
Ms. Gust-Jenson asked if the Chair had specific things she wanted
Council Members to be thinking about ahead of time. Councilmember
Mendenhall said she hoped we would be thinking about priorities that
the Council wanted to fulfill funding on, such as Fund Balance, Fleet,
Police, Streets, alleys, etc. She said she hoped this was structured so
there was actual follow-up after the priorities meeting with some
budget workshops with the Administration so that we are working
months before the budget was presented to the Council to look at
fulfillment of funding for some serious holes the Council knew existed
and that Council created themselves recently. She asked Council
Members to think about it that way and hoped to have a little more
direction by next week.
