A. WaterNow Alliance Annual Summit 4:35:24 PM
Council Member Mendenhall is requesting Council support to attend the 2017
WaterNow Alliance Annual Summit in Boulder, CO April 20-21st. According to
their information it will "bring together dynamic finance, communications and
water policy experts"with "events for public officials and emphasize providing
attendees with tangible takeaways they can put to work in their communities
immediately." Council Office Policy requires an announcement to be made if a
Member would like to attend a convention outside the pre-authorized standard
conferences. It is free to attend, and travel funding is available for elected officials.
Funding will cover up to $300.0o for airfare, 2 night hotel stay, all meals as well as
50% of the transportation costs.
➢ Does the Council support sending Council Member
Mendenhall? Yes.
➢ Are there any other Council Members interested in attending
the Summit? Councilmember Adams indicated she was
interested but needed to check her schedule. Councilmember
Luke said if anyone else was interested to let Staff know.
Councilmember Adams also asked for the attendees to provide
the Council with a report of the Summit(similar to the one
Councilmember Mendenhall did after attending the Juvenile
Sex Trafficking Conference).
