C. NEW COUNCIL BUSINESS
1. Consider and approve a notice of intention to create a special improve-
ment district to be known as Lighting District #2, to operate and maintain im-
provements and to levy assessments to pay all or a portion of the costs arising
therefrom according to plans and specifications on file in the office of the
City Engineer. Said improvement district includes, but is not limited to, prop-
erty bounded by South Temple Street on the north, 500 South Street on the south,
State Street on the east, and West Temple Street on the west; north side of 900
North Street on the north, south side of 700 North on the south, east side of
800 West Street on the east, and Oakley Street on the west; Lafayette Drive on
the north, Girard Avenue on the south, Rambler Drive on the east, and Oakley
Street on the west; 600 South Street on the north, 700 South Street on the south,
400 West Street on the east, and 500 West Street on the west; and St. Mary's
Hill Area on the north, city limits on the south, city limits on the east, and
Wasatch Drive on the west.

D. CONSENT AGENDA
1. Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, April 12, 1983 at 6:45 p.m.
to discuss Petition No. 201 submitted by Joseph Cabibi, et. al. , requesting that
the alley running north and south between 800 West and Grant Street north of 500
North to the freeway ramp at 600 North be vacated.

2. Set a date for a public hearing on Tuesday, March 15, 1983 at 6:30 p.m.
to discuss the amendment to the ordinance relating to solicitation, peddling and
transient merchants.

or creation of Sugarhouse Beautification Special Improvement District No. 38-708
(project area includes 2100 South from 900 East to 1300 East and 1100 East/High-
land Drive from Ramona Avenue to Ashton Avenue.)

2. 6:15 p.m. - Consider and discuss Petition No. 330 of 1982 submitted by
Mr. and Mrs. Abbott and Mr. and Mrs. Gudmundson requesting vacation of a 15-foot
alley approximately 139 feet in length between 726 and 752 Goshen Street.

3. 6:30 p.m. - Consider and discuss Petition No. 400-15 submitted by the
Janus Associates requesting that property located at 475 South 800 East be re-
zoned from its present "R-6" classification to a Residential "R-7" classifica-
tion.

4. 6:45 p.m. - Consider and discuss Petition No. 400-21 and 400-22 by
Neighborhood Housing Services requesting that a portion of the Granite Sub-
division and the Deskey Subdivision be vacated including a portion of American

by Robert N. Koyen Jr. requesting that property on the west side of Chicago
