TUESDAY, MAY 2 , 2017
The Board of Directors of the Local Building Authority of Salt Lake City,
Utah, met on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 7 : 00 p .m. in Room 315, Council
Chambers, City County Building, 451 South State .
The following Board Directors were present :
Andrew Johnston Erin Mendenhall Derek Kitchen
Lisa Adams
The following Board Directors were absent :
Charlie Luke James Rogers Stan Penfold
Cindy Gust-Jenson, Council Executive Director; Margaret Plane, City
Attorney; Jacqueline M. Biskupski, Mayor; and Kory Solorio, Assistant
City Recorder; were present .
Director Kitchen presided at and conducted the meeting.
OPENING CEREMONY
#1 . 7 :02 :48 PM Pledge of Allegiance.
#2 . 7 :03:39 PM Welcome/Review of Standards of Conduct.
Note: In order to accommodate the presentation of the budgets for
the Redevelopment Agency (RDA) , Local Building Authority (LBA) , and the
City Council, this meeting was noticed as a joint meeting between the
City Council, RDA, and LBA. Therefore, as all three bodies conclude their
business, they will adjourn as necessary throughout the meeting.
#3 . 7 :05:32 PM Mayor Biskupski presented the proposed Salt Lake City
budget, including the Redevelopment Agency budget, and Library Fund, for
Fiscal Year 2017-2018 . View Budget Speech View 2016-2017 Recommended

7 :35:09 PM Director Adams moved and Director Johnston seconded to
recess as the Board of Directors of the Local Building Authority and
continue as the City Council, which motion carried, all directors present
voted aye .
8:03:13 PM Councilmember Johnston moved and Councilmember Kitchen
seconded to recess as the City Council and reconvene as the Board of
Directors of the Local Building Authority, which motion carried, all
members present voted aye .

#4 . 8:03:21 PM Adopting a resolution adopting the Tentative Budget
for the Capital Projects Fund of the Local Building Authority of Salt
Lake City, Utah, for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2017, and ending
June 30, 2018 .
Director Mendenhall moved and Director Adams seconded to adopt
Resolution 3 of 2017, which motion carried, all directors present voted
aye .

#5 . 8:03:53 PM Confirming the dates of Tuesday, May 16, 2017 ,
Tuesday, May 23, 2017 , and Tuesday, June 6, 2017 , at 7 : 00 p.m. to accept
public comment and approve a resolution adopting the final budget for
the Capital Projects Fund of the Local Building Authority of Salt Lake
City, Utah, for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2017 and Ending June
30, 2018 .
Director Mendenhall moved and Director Adams seconded to confirm
the public hearing dates of May 16, 2017, May 23, 2017 , and June 6, 2017 ,
at 7 : 00 p.m. , which motion carried, all directors present voted aye .

8 :04 :47 PM Director Mendenhall moved and Director Johnston seconded
to adjourn as the Board of Directors of the Local Building Authority and
reconvene as the City Council, which motion carried, all directors
present voted aye .
The meeting adjourned at 8 : 04 p .m.
