FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2009
The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, met as the Board of
Canvassers on Friday, November 20, 2009, at 12 : 00 p.m. in Room 326,
Committee Room, City County Building, 451 South State.
The following Council Members were present:
Carlton Christensen Jill Remington Love
Eric Jergensen Soren Simonsen
Luke Garrott JT Martin/via phone
The following Council Member was absent:
Van Turner
Mayor Ralph Becker; Cindy Gust-Jenson, Executive Council Director;
Brian Roberts, Senior City Attorney; Christine Meeker, City Recorder;
Sonya Kintaro, Election Coordinator; and Scott Crandall, Deputy City
Recorder; were present.
Councilmember Christensen presided at and conducted the meeting.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
#1. RE: 12:08:35PM Convene as the Board of Canvassers to canvass
the returns of the recount and consider a motion regarding the election
of the Salt Lake City Councilmember for District Seven. View

Councilmember Simonsen moved and Councilmember Garrott seconded
that the Mayor and Council convene as the Board of Municipal
Canvassers, which motion carried, all members present voted aye .
Councilmember Jergensen moved and Councilmember Garrett seconded
that the Board of Canvassers canvass the returns of the recount and
consider a motion declaring Soren Simonson elected to the Salt Lake
City Council for District Seven, which motion carried, all members
present voted aye .
Councilmember Love moved and Councilmember Simonsen seconded to
adjourn as the Board of Canvassers, which motion carried, all members
present voted aye .

The meeting adjourned at 12 : 12 p.m.
