TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20 , 2018
The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, met as the Board of Canvassers
on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 3 : 49 p.m. in Room 326, Committee Room,
City County Building, 451 South State .
The following Council Members were present:
Charlie Luke Andrew Johnston James Rogers
Chris Wharton Erin Mendenhall Amy Fowler
Derek Kitchen
Cindy Gust-Jenson, Council Executive Director; Jennifer Bruno,
Council Executive Deputy Director; David Litvack, Mayor' s Deputy Chief
of Staff; Margaret Plane, City Attorney; and Cindi Mansell, City
Recorder; were present.
Councilmember Mendenhall presided at and conducted the meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
#1 . The Council, acting as the Board of Canvassers, will consider
adopting a resolution canvassing, accepting and approving the results of
the Special Streets Reconstruction Bond Election. As part of the "Funding
Our Future" initiative, the City Council placed an $87 million General
Obligation (GO) bond for street reconstruction on the November ballot.
This funding would be in addition to the recently adopted sales tax
increase, a portion of which pays for increased street maintenance. View

Boardmember Luke moved and Boardmember Rogers seconded that the
Council, acting as the Board of Canvassers, adopt Resolution 44 of 2018,
approving the results of the Special Bond Election held in Salt Lake
City, Utah on November 6, 2018 to determine the issuance of $87,000,000
General Obligation Bonds, which motion carried, all members present voted
