I. Pressing Matters
A. COUNCIL FUNCTIONS/EVENTS/DATES
1. Council to set a date for the next joint School Board Meeting. Some possible dates include:
December 10th, January 7th or 21st.
B. FEEDBACK&DECISIONS
1. Jeff Stansfield of the Salt Lake City Fire Department would like to know if you could refer a
few names of individuals in your areas who would be interested in helping the department on an
evaluation panel. The panel would be for 3 days and would be evaluting future firefighters. Please submit
any names and numbers to Cindy/Veronica. He will need to know as soon as possible. We will get more
information later.
II. For Your Information
A. COUNCIL OFFICE INFORMATION
1. Keith is in room E-802 at LDS Hospital. His surgery went very well. Anyone wishing
to contribute to a gift, please give Veronica$5.
B. CITY INFORMATION
1. In each of your mail there is a letter we received today from a group calling themselves
"citizens against ruination of Main Street" this letter stated that the Council meeting on this issue would
be held on October 3,but listed the Planning Division's phone number. The Planning Commission is
going to hold a meeting on this issue on October 17. Please see the attached sheet which is an attempt at
correcting this error.
MEETING REGARDING MAIN STREET
Incorrect information was given out by a citizen group
regarding a meeting to be held October 3, 1996 on the
Main Street closure. The Planning Commission has this
listed on their agenda for:
Date: October 17, 1996
Location: Council Chambers, Room 318
This will be discussed by the City Council in late
November 1996 or early December 1996.
