TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12 , 2017
The City Council met in Work Session on Tuesday, September 12,
2017, at 2 : 42 p.m. in Room 326, Committee Room, City County
Building, 451 South State Street.
In Attendance: Council Members Stan Penfold, Erin Mendenhall,
Derek Kitchen, Charlie Luke, James Rogers, and Andrew Johnston.
Absent: Councilmember Lisa Adams
Staff in Attendance: Cindy Gust-Jenson, Executive Council
Director; Jennifer Bruno, Executive Council Deputy Director; Lehua
Weaver, Associate Council Deputy Director; Jacqueline Biskupski,
Mayor; Patrick Leary, Mayor' s Chief of Staff; David Litvack,
Mayor' s Deputy Chief of Staff; Margaret Plane, City Attorney; and
Makayla Hardy, Deputy City Recorder.
Councilmember Penfold presided at and conducted the meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 2 : 42 p .m.

AUTHORIZING THE WAIVER OF LEASE FEES FOR A PORTION OF CITY-OWNED

Councilmember Penfold requested Council review the Written
Briefing and forward any questions to Staff. He stated a public
hearing would be held September 19, 2017 and tentative action was
scheduled on September 19, 2017 as well .

The Work Session meeting recessed at 2 : 49 p.m. in order for
Council and Staff to travel to the Gardner Institute located at
411 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah and reconvene in a
Council workshop.
