Photos of Mexican migrants and the breakup of Yugoslavia were also taken. This exhibit was created to connect Salt Lake City with the rest of the globe and what other people worldwide were experiencing. The Center for Documentary Expression and Art seeks to find a partnership with the HRC to see if something “grounded” could come out of a relationship Long-term interest of a Gallery for Human Rights here at Library Square similar to the Civil Rights Exhibit Commissioner Wessel questions what the partnership would look like Leslie Kelen responds that he does not know exactly what that would look like, but he would like to see a revival in the Human Rights gallery. Commissioner Wessel is intrigued by the partnership and the plan but acknowledges the issues with funding, bonding, and legal issues that may involve the Leonardo. Commissioner Stowell would like to continue the conversation so that the commission could get a more whole idea on what the partnership would look like. Commission agreed to hear from Leslie Kelen again. Commissioner Wessel offers to look into city code to see if it is possible for the HRC to partner with an art gallery.
