1. Briefings by the Staff
Chairman Maxwell began by encouraging Committee members to provide feedback to Staff on
the current pace of application review.
BUSINESS ITEMS•
1. Review and Adopt Minutes from Meetings
Mr. Markman told staff that meeting minutes were not ready for staff review, and so would
be made available to Committee members next week.
2. Review and Discuss Nonprofit Applications
Mr.Wessel observed that there is little variation in his different applicant scores, and that
this could present challenges for their final recommendations. Chairman Maxwell agreed
with this concern, and asked if the Committee could see the Staff s database of Committee
score averages to determine if recalibration of relative scores by Committee members was
necessary. These scores as they were for the current date were promptly sent to the
Committee members by Mr. Markman during the meeting.
Vice Chairman Anjewierden recommended we wait to determine necessary adjustments
until the Committee could see the distribution of all scores for all applicants at the following
meeting. Chairman Maxwell suggested the process of final scoring could include
adjustments of weights for various application question scores during the meeting. Mr.
Markman confirmed that this would be possible and that a database would be created before
the next meeting to share with the Committee members.
Ms. Carson asked if there was an application that had not yet been assigned to the
Committee members.Mr. Markman confirmed that any applications not assigned to the
Committee were determined to be strictly ineligible by Staff and Finance.
Vice Chairman Anjewierden asked Staff if they could provide a draft of eligible asks to help
determine the ways eligibility would influence the number of applicants awarded.Mr.
Markman confirmed he could provide a rough draft of eligible costs.
3. Other Business
Mr. Markman requested that all Committee members confirm with him their current load
of unfinished applications and their availability in the coming weeks to determine the date
for their final award decisions.
4. Adjourn
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
