School
"It was really powerful for my 3rd grade students. As soon as the
y music came on during the African dance performance, my students
from Rwanda and the Central Republic of Africa were activated and

4 Y smiling from ear to ear. One of them tried to follow along and do the
dance moves with the older kids. I couldn't help but choke up as I
' watched them because I know they affirmed felt armed and celebrated. I
try to do as many cultural activities as possible in the classroom, but
watching the performances live and getting to inter ct with culture
has a very different feel than reading a story or wat ing videos.
Thank you very much for all your hard work and a ort to put this
together. It has a huge impact that my students will lways
remember." -3rd Grade Teacher
