Dear Mayor Mendenhall:
The Department of Economic Development would like to recommend Kristina Olivas, Urban Affairs
Manager at the Downtown Alliance, for a nonvoting/ex-oficio member position of the Business Advisory
Board. The Downtown Alliance and Salt Lake City Economic Development Department work together
closely on the business development and support of the downtown area. For the purposes of this Board,
Kristina will represent the voices of the downtown businesses as it relates to the advice the Departments
seeks relating to business issues and ordinances that impact business in Salt Lake City.
We strongly support Kristina’s application to the Business Advisory Board. Please find enclosed her
