Council District: 5 Qualifications for the Board: Jacob is very outgoing and has identified that he has been passionate about serving people with disabilities since he was young. His brother had a disability that confined him to a wheelchair, and he realized that cities aren’t built for those non-able-bodied individuals. He’s volunteered with several different organizations through the years on improving disability equity and access. He currently is a working as a legal qualifier for low-income veterans benefits at the VA as he is an attorney. Most of his day is interacting with homeless and low-income veterans so they’re able to gain access to or expand their benefits given to them by their service. Jacob has wanted to serve on a board where he can bring his expertise and background to serve vulnerable individuals. I feel Jacob is qualified for the CDCIP board and I’d like to recommend him for the position. 10-15-21
