RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends the Council consider the
recommendation in the attached letter from the Mayor and appoint Ahimara Suarez a member of
the Sister Cities Advisory Board.

Listed below is my recommendation for the membership appointment for Sister Cities
Advisory Board.
Ahimara Suarez to be appointed for a four year term, starting from date of City Council
advice and consent and term ending on Tuesday, July 6, 2027.

The Department of Economic Development would like to recommend Ahimara Suarez as a
new member of the Sister Cities Advisory Board.
Through her work in the education sector,Ahimara has learned the value of helping and
educating others and wishes to share the skills and experience she has learned with the
Sister Cities Program.
The Department supports Ms.Suarez’s appointment to the Sister Cities Advisory Board and
believes her background and talents would be valuable in supporting the Salt Lake Sister
