To Whom It May Concern,
My names Ethan Sellers and I work in Housing Stability, as the board manager of the CDCIP board. I’m
reaching out to recommend a candidate we interviewed to be appointed onto the CDCIP board.
Dillon, Kalli & Rachel from the CARES team, and I met with an applicant for the CDCIP board-District 2
seat named Brad Christensen. He was an applicant that had been emailing Councilman Puy, who
mentioned he was interested in having updates about his board candidacy.
Brad has worked at The Road Home in the recent past, and is currently a License Clinical Social Worker,
who works at Sacred Circle. Primarily their clients are Native Americans struggling with cooccurring
disorders. In both positions he was working with housing and treatment programs that received federal
grants. We feel this experience would give him a good leg up while reviewing nonprofit applications and
understanding the limitations and requirements they have.
Additionally, Kalli and Rachel mentioned that they liked his experience applying for CIP funding. They
said his application (on behalf of the Poplar Grove Community Council he serves on) was the highest
scoring CIP application last cycle. As such, Brad would be able to hit the ground running when the board
starts reviewing the CIP applications.
With these considerations, we’d like to move Brad’s candidacy to the Mayor’s office in hopes of having
him nominated for the Council District 2 seat on the CDICP board.
Please let us know if you have any questions, thanks!
