Kathy Davis to be re-appointed for a three year term, starting from date of City Council advice and consent. I respectfully ask for your consideration and support for this appointment. Respectfully, Erin Mendenhall, Mayor cc: file April 14, 2023 Dear Mayor Mendenhall, The Nominating Committee for the Arts Council Board of Directors is recommending the reappointment of two board members who have serve diligently and dutifully during their first term. We would like to bring these two board members forward for your approval and the subsequent approval of the City Council to serve a second term. The board member’s names are Torle Nenbee (District 1) and Kathy Davis (District 6). The candidates’ applications and resumes are attached to this letter. Torle brings with her a career of public service, presently working for the Salt Lake Legal Defenders. During her service on the Arts Council Board, Torle has been critical in starting and sustaining our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work, and has served on our Grants Committee, among other accomplishments. Kathy is also a dedicated public servant who has exemplified a commitment to community service and has made great contributions to the artistic and cultural vibrancy of our community. Professionally, Kathy is an Attorney for the State of Utah. To say that we are elated with the quality and tenure of our recommendations for reappointment to you would be an understatement. We appreciate your consideration in forwarding these board reappointments to the City Council, and we will continue to bring strong candidates to your attention as we review them.
