RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends the Council consider the
recommendation in the attached letter from the Mayor and appoint Annie Quan a member of the
Sister Cities Board.

Listed below is my recommendation for the membership appointment for Sister Cities Board.
Annie Quan to be appointed for a four year term, starting from date of City Council advice
and consent and term ending on Monday, July 6, 2027.

Dear Mayor Mendenhall:
The Department of Economic Development would like to recommend Annie Quan as a voting
member of the Sister Cities Advisory Board for an initial four year term.
Ms.Quan has a passion for travel and cultural stewardship.Growing up in Salt Lake City as
the daughter of immigrants,she loved the opportunities to learn about different cultures.
Now,she looks forward to continuing to learn about different cultures while supporting the
Sister Cities Program.Ms.Quan currently works as the COO at Centeva,a strategic consulting
&enterprise software firm.
The Department supports Ms.Quan’s appointment to the Sister Cities Advisory Board and
believes her background and talents would be an asset to the organization.Please find
