Tiffini Porter to be re-appointed for a three year term starting from date of City Council advice and consent. I respectfully ask for your consideration and support for this appointment. Since her appointment, she has been a strong contributing member of the Board. Throughout her tenure, she has actively participated in program planning, site selection, artist selection processes, and other oversight activities of Salt Lake City’s Public Art Program. Her colleagues on the Art Design Board, as well as Arts Council staff, recommend a positive response to her application for reappointment. Ms. Porter, a resident of Council District 3, has served on the Art Design Board since May 2021. If reappointed, she will continue to serve in the capacity of Community Member, as required in Ordinance 2.30. If, for any reason, Mayor Mendenhall finds Ms. Porter unfit to serve, the Board can solicit and review additional applicants. Her application has been attached for your reference.
