Do you have any questions we might address in the meeting discussions? My first priority is safety of vunerable users Only the top two projects seem to make any improvements for non-motorized users. The other sets of applications is better. Considered the various criteria, prioritized Rose Park as it seems underserved, only district 1 application, council endorsed I prioritized the projects that are helping safety/equity of more people. I wish we could have voted for all of these in one single ranking. I tried to balance bike infrastructure with traffic calming and transportation issues. Prioritized public spaces over alleys-even though alleys are public, they are also quasi-private Prioritizing peds/bikes over vehicles the fence one could be a scout prioject!anotherjust fix a sprinkler system.only my top 3 picks would i reallyvote for. Wells Fargo should have put in trees and benches when they designed the new building or the chamber of commerce. CIP is not for fixing things the planning commission should never have approved, What%of projects are likely to be funded in some form or fashion? Is need confirmed by the city on these applications? For me a CIP proposal is notjust repaving a street or alley and simple patching would help on most alleys and be cheaper..they all need it. it makes sense for city to decide and cluster the work in one area at a time not one block here and there because someone knew howthe system works, Most are on the east side.Alleys dont get used like streets Constituent Group 2 (Transportation-assisted applications) BOTH TAB rank BAC rank Glendale Traffic Calming 1 2 3 Glendale Neighborhood Pedestrian Safety Improvement RRFB revision tc 2 1 4 Central City 600 East Byway Safety Improvements 3 3 1 Sweet Streets Bike Network Gap Filling 4 s 2 Poplar Grove 500 S Traffic Calming 5 7 5 Pedestrian Safety/HAWK at Richmond St.and Zenith Ave. 6 4 9 Slow Down Liberty Wells South 7 10 6 Intersection Daylighting with Parking for Bikes and Scooters 7 6 7 Safe Routes to Beacon Heights, Hillside, and Cosgriff 9 5 11 Sunnyside Avenue and Amanda Ave Safe Crossing 10 s 10 East High Youth Safety Project 11 11 7 Safe Side Streets North Extension 12 13 12 Milk Block Bike Spa 13 15 14 Federal Heights Safety Upgrades 14 11 15 Marmalade Gateway Roundabout 15 16 13 Wasatch Dr&2100 South Project 16 14 16 1200 East Traffic Circles 17 17 17 Any short notes on reasons for your priorities? Do you have any questions we might address in the meeting discussions? My first priority is safety of vunerable users This was a lot to digest. I prioritized underserved areas, cycling, and bumped up Slow Down Liberty Wells because that is my neighborhood and I'm familiar w/the issues Bike network gaps and 600 S(in itself a bike network gap) have my priority. Intersection daylighting will help city-wide.What follows are improvements on busy roads, which I prioritize more than the neighborhood roads. At the bottom are"beautification" projects like some of the roundabouts and bike spa. Equity was important to me in these rankings. It was nice to have red, yellow and green flags filled out by city employees. I tried to both balance bike infrastructure updates and transportation issues, with an eye towards sending money to the west side. It is very difficult to gage which are more of a value than another Priortized active infrastructure, secondary prioritization for westside projects This group is stronger.wish we could rank all instead of 2 parts. Lots of speed bumps. In some 6 in 2 blocks.we dont need so many. It may be obvious to the city too, but the bulk of these proposals come from the east side and yet the west side continues to deal with underinvestment running back decades. What is the city considering doing to make sure the west side gets an equitable(in the full sense of the word)piece of the funding from these projects. Staff comments didn't exist for all applications and/or the wrong comments were attached. Can we share the staff comments for all projects? Also,on many of the projects having some of the attachments would have been useful in rankings. Need photos of each existing condition and graphics showing improvements The East High teen problem study should be done with School funds not transp. It is in significantly poor condition). I also am in support of improving transit infrastructure. I have seen too many people stand in the cold or wet wainting for transit, including students. The civic campus is not a high priorityfor me and can be pushed for later, and the greenbike stations, while a great amenity, doesn't serve everybody. Balance of necessary corridor critical repairs and alternative modes of transportation. If there is insufficient funding to get to the Green Loop/sidewalk-bike,transit etc, those might move up in priority. no more scoping money until we fund and build what already designed. Livable streets needs to specify what streets. If to costs 2=3.5 million for 5.5 single lane miles for complete streets lets go back to graded dirt.will slow traffic too.there has to be some efficiency and accountability in the current way streets are repaired. Vision Zero is my highest priority; maintenance is often pushed aside for new construction but it is essential to keep existing assets in a good state of repair Prioritizing active modes over vehicles BAC Comments(in no particular order) My first priority is safety of vunerable users My main priorities are projects that are city-wide and have clear benefit for multimodal transportation. While the 400S bridge repair sounds important, I think that state/federal funds would be better suited for it. I prioritized what I understand to be projects that can spur wider-reaching systemic change, but also tried to be mindful of ongoing maintenance needs and cost of deferred maintenance on assets like bridges. Really tough to rank these in an explainable order since most seem critical Vision Zero#1 because I'd like us to all unite behind that strategic priority,#2-3 due to severity if failure,#4-8 to improve&prioritize biking(striping intentionally the last-prefer more significant infrastructure),#9 to prioritize West side,#10 to prioritize transit,#15 seemed least critical(though it would be nice) I tried to both balance bike infrastructure updates and transportation issues, with an eye towards sending money to the west side. Questions? Overall my ranking is close to that of Transportation, which I think is OK as it shows that our priorities align. I am not sure about the delineation between Complete Streets Overlay and Complete Streets Reconstruction-is overlayjust pavement, and reconstruction a more complete approach? What is the overall budget for internal CIP proposals?Does the city have plans to leverage additional tax base or income to the city to help support more projects? What is the Construction Project Scoping proposal? Is it for 400 South only or many projects? How can we ensure a equitable distribution of investment in infrastructure? Are we keeping in mind the city's goals of improving E-W connectivity? Are the complete streets overlay&reconstructions mutually exclusive/either-or options? Is there a reaseon to fund both? The streets under consideration appear the same in each slide. why cant bus shelters come out of UTA budget. The green loop i like the idea but 3.5 million is way too much. I thought 400 S was a udot rd but guess i am wrongjust 500 and 600? I was a little confused on where the Green Loop project was
