1. Appeal of Time Extension Granted for Design Review Approval at Approximately 336 S
300 E – Aaron Pacini, on behalf of the Sampson Altadena HOA, is appealing the one-year
time extension approval granted by the Planning Commission for the Design Review to the
Overland on Third mixed-use development. The Planning Commission granted the extension
on November 13, 2024. The subject property is in the R-MU (Residential Mixed-Use) zoning
district within Council District 4, represented by Eva Lopez Chavez. (Staff Contact: Eric Daems

2. Variance Request for an Accessory Building in the Front Yard at Approximately 1087 S
1300 E - Richard Taylor, the property owner, is requesting a Variance to build a detached
garage in the front yard and in front of the main dwelling at the address listed above. The
subject property is in the R-1-7,000 (Residential) Zoning District and within Council District 6,

3. Appeal of a COA Denial at Approximately 1425 E Havard Ave - Nathan Marsala, of The
Bison Group, Inc., on behalf of property owner, Shailaja Akkapeddi Revocable Trust, is
appealing an Administrative Decision denying a request to approve the replacement of 14
windows at the above-stated address. The address falls within the Havard Heights Local
Historic District, thus subject to the standards of the H (Historic Preservation) Overlay. The
property is located within Council District 6, represented by Dan Dugan. (Staff Contact: Grant
