Since his appointment, he has been a strong contributing member of the Board. Throughout his tenure, he has actively participated in program planning, site selection, artist selection processes, and other oversight activities of Salt Lake City’s Public Art Program. His colleagues on the Art Design Board, as well as Arts Council staff, recommend a positive response to his application for reappointment. Mr. Mejia is a resident of Council District 4 and has served on the Art Design Board since January 2022. If reappointed, he will continue to serve in the capacity of Community Member, as required in Ordinance 2.30. If, for any reason, Mayor Mendenhall finds Mr. Mejia unfit to serve, the Board can solicit and review additional applicants. His application has been attached for your reference.
