Board Members Mario Organista Jade Sarver Jennifer McGrath Mike Walton Pamela Silbennan Julie Bjornstad Loree Hagen Sheila Walsh-McDonald Also Present Michael Akerlow Melissa Jensen Jeri Schumann Shyann Herbert 2. Staff Updates There were no updates by staff. 3. Approval of the minutes. There were no minutes for approval. 4. Business A. Welcome Ms. Silbennan welcomed the CDCIP Members and opened the meeting on December 5, 2016 at 7:13PM. B. Board Review of CDBG & ESG Applications Ms. Silbennan asked the board for input on the Nano Sessions. Question 1) Ms. Walsh-McDonald stated many agencies were not focused on how to track applications. She stated it was nice they were validating their program. Ms. Hagen agreed with CDCIP Meeting Minutes December 5,2016 Page 2 Ms. Walsh-McDonald, the representatives of each program showed greatly the care they have for their program. Question 2)Ms. Bjomdstad stated that generally most agencies would find funding elsewhere if they were not funded throughout this grant by going to private foundations and fundraising in the community, few agencies reported they would reduce the number of people they could serve. Question 3) Mr. Sarver stated that 75%of the agencies reported that they would be applying for this funding every year and that 25%would not ask for this particular funding but possibly would be asking for funding for a different program for next year. Question 4) Ms. Silberman stated that the vast majority of the organizations were able to list, and explain the different roles of the partnerships they had with other organizations in the community. She stated that some of the organizations were unable to answer the question fully and she inquired if the organization sent the right representative for the event. Question 5) Ms. McGrath stated that the Nano Session event was very valuable and that she would be adjusting her scores because of it. 5. Adiournment There being no further business.
