Summary of Actions

1. Variance Request at Approximately 871 W 400 N - Tim Fotu, the property owner, is
requesting a Variance from Ordinance 21A.24.060.E which establishes the minimum corner
side yard setback to construct a single-family residential home on a narrow lot. He is also
requesting a variance from 21A.24.060.F which establishes that the surface coverage of all
principal and accessory buildings shall not exceed forty percent (40%) of the lot area. The
property is located within Council District 2, represented by Alejandro Puy. (Staff Contact:

2. Variance Request at Approximately 1739 S Mohawk Way - Colin Norwood, On behalf of
the property owner, is requesting a Variance to to allow an 84 sqft addition to the existing
attached garage. The proposed addition would encroach into the front yard setback by 4' and
result in the attached garage being forward the front line of the building. The property is zoned
FR-3/12,000 Foothill Residential District. The subject property is within Council District 6,

Action: Denied
Any person adversely affected by any decision of the Appeals Hearing Officer may, within thirty
(30) days after written decision, file a petition for review with the Utah State Third District Court in
