Chair Catherine Tucker called the Conservancy&Use Meeting to order at 4:15 PM. Board Members/Commissioners in Attendance In Person: • Travis Sheppard (Vice Chair) Board Members/Commissioners in Attendance Remotely: • Catherine Tucker(Chair) • Robyn Taylor-Granda (Committee Member) • Mark Morris (Committee Member) • Steve Burt(Committee Member) Board Members Absent: • Karen Ferguson (Committee Member) • Caitlyn Barhorst(Committee Member) • Kathy Davis(Committee Member) Ex-Officio Members in Attendance: • Sean Fyfe(City Architect) • Josh Lander(Board Manager) Presenters Salt Lake City and County Building Monday,August 11,2025 Conservancy&Use Meeting Minutes • No presenters PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: GENERAL • No public communication was recorded. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Approve the minutes of the regular Conservancy&Use Meeting on July 14, 2025. o The minutes from the meeting of July 14, 2025,were approved on Steve Burt's motion, Mark Morris second on a unanimous vote.Travis Sheppard and Robyn Tayler-Granda abstained due to being absent at the July meeting. o Pending correction on Catherine Tucker's name spelling and double checking motions from July meeting. STAFF BRIEFINGS • None DISCUSSION ITEMS Election of Chair and Vice Chair • Chair: o Nominee:Travis Sheppard o Motioned by:Steve Burt o Seconded by: Robyn Taylor-Granda o Vote: Unanimous approval(Aye: all present members) • Vice Chair: o Nominee: Mark Morris o Motioned by:Travis Sheppard o Seconded by:Steve Burt o Vote: Unanimous approval(Aye: all present members) Building Project updates • Fifth Floor Break Room: Demolition completed, drywall removed, plumbing to be tied in soon. • Transformer Replacement Project: Concrete demoed on Washington Square, excavation pending. Salt Lake City and County Building Monday,August 11,2025 Conservancy&Use Meeting Minutes • Fountain Reinstallation: Plumbing issues being addressed, old plumbing drained to the street (illegal), new design for pump vault in progress. • Fifth Floor Study: GSBS hired to study repurposing space for office use, structural analysis ongoing. Discussion on Lighting Study: • Proposal to request a lighting study for the building. • Committee to draft a formal request to the mayor's office for funding the study. WORKING GROUP/COMMITTEE UPDATES • None. WORKING GROUP RECOMMENDATIONS • None. Chair Catherine Tucker adjourned the meeting at 4:45 PM without objection. Next Meeting: Monday, September 8, 2025
