Note: Speakers cannot transfer their time to another person.

If you are unable to attend in person but would like to submit comments regarding an item
on the agenda, please email the staff contact listed for that specific item.
Submission Deadlines:
• To be included in the Staff Report: Comments must be received by 12:00 PM on the
Wednesday the week before the meeting.
• To be forwarded to the Commission (but not included in the Staff Report):
Comments received between 12:01 PM on the Wednesday the week before the
meeting and 12:00 PM on the day of the meeting.
Note: Comments and materials received after the deadlines may not be reviewed prior to
the meeting but will be added to the official record. Emails received will not be read aloud
during the meeting.

During this time, the Commission may also receive training related to their roles and city
planning topics.

items listed on the agenda.
Note: The order of agenda items may change at the Commission’s discretion.
WORK SESSIONS
1. Historic District Street Sign Program – Public Services will be leading out on a city-
wide historic district street sign program that will aim to replace existing street signs of
approved historic districts with new street signs that will include a different color
scheme and the name of the historic district. The goal of these signs will be to denote
historic districts and enhance local identity. The Commission will be briefed on the
project and shall provide input on street sign mock-ups. This street sign replacement
program is not intended to replace the established planning process to designate

RECORDS: For Historic Landmark Commission agendas, minutes, staff reports, and YouTube recordings,
visit www.slc.gov/hlc. Staff Reports will be posted the Friday prior to the meeting and minutes will be posted
two days after they are approved, which usually occurs at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the
Historic Landmark Commission.
The next regular meeting of the Commission is scheduled for Thursday, February 5, 2026, unless a special
meeting is scheduled prior to that date.
Anyone who is an “adversely affected party” as defined by Utah Code Section 10-20-102, may appeal a
decision of the Historic Landmark Commission by filing a written appeal with the Appeals Hearing Officer
within ten (10) calendar days following the date on which a record of decision is issued.
The applicant may object to the decision of the Historic Landmark Commission by filing a written appeal
with the Appeals Hearing Officer within thirty (30) calendar days following the date on which a record of
decision is issued.
