The board also helps direct City economic policy, promote small business growth, support local entrepreneurship, and assist the City in remaining responsive to the business community. Business Advisory Board meetings are held in a hybrid meeting format. Board Members and staff may participate through an online format, and members of the public may join in person at the City & County Building: 451 South State Street, Room 335, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. Roll Call 2. Approval of the minutes a. Review and Approval of December 11, 2024, BAB Minutes BAB members will review the January 8th, 2025, meeting minutes and consider for approval. 3. Briefings by the Staff 5 minutes a. Report from the Director. Ms. Reichgelt will provide updates on the work of the Department of Economic Development to the Board. 4. Business Items a. SLCPD Update 10 minutes Representative from Salt Lake City Police Department will provide public safety updates to the Board b. Councilmember Petro 20 minutes Councilmember Petro will engage the Board on City priorities c. Tech Link Study 20 minutes Alex Beim, AICP, Manager of Long Range and Strategic Planning at UTA, will present the Tech Link Study final report to the Board 5. City Council Announcements – Austin Kimmel 5 minutes a. Redevelopment Agency (RDA) name change to the Salt Lake City Community Reinvestment Agency (CRA) b. CRA Board Chair and Vice Chair Election. The Council appointed Darin Mano Chair and Dan Dugan as the Vice Chair for 2025. . c. Himalayan Kitchen EDLF loan approved by the Council on February 4. d. Gas Station Text Amendment Approval. e. Commercial & Mixed-Use Zoning District Consolidation and scheduled public hearing. 6. BAB Member Announcements 5 minutes a. Make Your Own Luck networking event, Ms. Kearl b.
