All votes were affirmative; motion passed. B. Director’s Report Bill Wyatt, Executive Director, updated the Airport Advisory Board on the following events. • Spirit filed chapter 11 bankruptcy • Friday 11.22.24 Tooele (TVY) will have sewer and water • The BLM will have a ribbon cutting for their new facility on November 22, 2024 • Extending the lease on the soccer field in West Jordan • Title 16 changes have been approved John Bradshaw asked if the airport with feel an impact from Spirit filing bankruptcy. Bill Wyatt explained Spirit is paid up to date and we should not see any impact. C. Airport Redevelopment Program (ARP) Update – Mike Williams, ARP Director, SLCDA Mike Williams, Airport Redevelopment Program (ARP) Director, presented an update on the ARP (presentation on file). Kevin Staples explained led in aviation has been around for a while. The FAA has an initiative to eliminate the lead in the fuel called the Eagle, it will take some time to get the technology to use it in the aircraft Roger Boyer inquired about the solar farms, asking if we participate in the capital costs and whether we are part owners. Staples explained we picked a rate schedule along with the meters that will be on that schedule that Rocky Mountain Power agreed to. Installation of new screens/grates, pump shaft, generator and pad, and new meter vault have been completed. Anticipated completion for this project is April 2025. (2)Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations (FY23) - The underground conduit installation has been completed along with the ground boring work. Open trenches have been flow-filled and paving is complete. Due to long lead equipment items, substantial completion is anticipated for March 30, 2025. (3)Equipment Storage Building - The Contractor has completed asphalt repairs along with minor, fire and electrical work. A final walk through is scheduled for January 9, 2025, and substantial completion is anticipated by the end of January 2025. (4)Runway Deicer Fluid Tanks - The four (4), 20,000-gallon deicer fluid tanks have arrived, and tank accessories and piping are currently being installed. A no cost Change Order for a time extension has been executed. Substantial completion is anticipated for January 31, 2025. (5)Demo Row 21 & FAA FMP & Pavement Restoration - Substantial completion for this project was granted on November 19, 2024. All punch list items have been completed. Project close-out is currently taking place. (6)Terminal Front Access Road & GT Lot Improvements - Substantial completion for this project was granted on December 16, 2024. All punch list items have been completed. Project close-out is currently taking place. (7)Ground Transportation Restrooms & Charging Stations Infrastructure - The Contactor is currently working on door and door frame installations. The building will be fenced and secured by January 10th. The project will then be put on hold until the electrical equipment is delivered by RMP. Substantial completion is anticipated for March 31, 2025. (8)National Weather Service Replacement Controls - Submittals are currently being prepared for review and approval by SLCDA. Construction is anticipated to begin the first week of January 8th. A no cost Change Order has been completed with a new completion date of March 31, 2025. (9)Bus Plaza EV Stations - SLCDA is waiting for the service agreement from RMP to be signed and recorded. Construction is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2025. Page IVb (10) AOC Backup Generator - The Contractor is currently preparing submittals for review and approval by SLCDA so the equipment can be ordered. Preliminary schedule from the Contractor shows substantial completion for August 2025, 4 months earlier than anticipated. (11) QTA Elevator Upgrades - The Contractor is currently preparing submittals for review and approval by SLCDA. Construction has begun and demolition of the existing elevators is underway. Substantial completion is anticipated for March 28, 2025. (12) CUP Crossover Piping - The Contractor is currently preparing submittals for review and approval by SLCDA. Construction began the first week of January. A temporary shutdown to install temporary chillers is scheduled for January 13, 2025. Substantial completion is anticipated for August 1, 2025. (13) TVY Water and Sewer Improvements - Substantial completion for this project was issued on November 25, 2024. The Contractor is currently working on punch list items. Project close-out will follow.
