Minutes A motion was made by Theresa Foxley and seconded by Roger Boyer to approve the minutes of August 7, 2024, at 9:29am as presented. All votes were affirmative; motion passed. B. Director’s Report Bill Wyatt, Executive Director, gave an update to the Airport Advisory Board regarding current events including, • Blue Tie Gala was a huge success. Thanks to Nancy Volmer for coordinating the event • Last week we closed on a 300-million-dollar revolver of credit designed to get us through 2025 • The remaining aspects of the project have been formalized into contracts, and the costs for all outstanding tasks are clearly defined • October 22 the Central Tunnel will open along with the first four gates Dirk Burton inquired about the smaller airlines having hidden fees. Bill Wyatt explained without the ultra-low-cost carriers changing the core fare there are ancillary fees when you purchase a ticket. John Bradshaw asked about the progress on the runway extension. Wyatt explained that during periods of increased temperatures, the current runway conditions necessitate asking passengers to remain behind, which impacts operations. The 2,000-foot center runway extension is essential to mitigate this issue. Bradshaw asked for an update on South Valley and Tooele. Wyatt stated the contractor is out in Tooele now putting in sewer and water lines. C. Airport Redevelopment Program (ARP) Update – Mike Williams, ARP Director, SLCDA Mike Williams, Airport Redevelopment Program (ARP) Director, presented an update on the ARP (presentation on file). Aviation Industry & Air Service Update – Nathan Lavin, Air Service and business Development Manager, SLCDA Nathan Lavin, Airport Air Service and Business Development Manager, presented an update on the Aviation Industry & Air Service (presentation on file). Main points included were: • Growth at SLC Airport o Record 27M Passengers in 2023 o 6% Seat Growth in 2024 • New and Resuming Flights o Delta  Indianapolis 2/2024. Columbus & Santa Barbara 5/2023.
