A. Minutes
A motion was made by John Bradshaw and seconded by Cynthia Miller to approve the minutes
of January 18, 2023 as presented. All votes were affirmative; motion passed.
B. Director’s Report
Bill Wyatt, Executive Director, updated the Airport Advisory Board regarding current events.
• Presidents Day Weekend we are anticipation the largest volume of travel in the history of
the airport.
• We are combining Presidents Day weekend with a particularly strong ski season and the
NBA-All Star game.
• Planning for this event has taken over a year with help from SLC and the NBA.
• A small plane landed on Bangerter HWY last night, our staff was on site for assistance
and the aircraft was towed to South Valley
Steve Price asked how the volume increases by 20-30% during this weekend. Asking if it’s
from additional planes, the planes being fuller or aircraft from the FBO side. Bill Wyatt
explained, it’s possibly from larger planes on existing routes, so they have more seats to offer.

Mike Williams, Airport Redevelopment Program (ARP) Director, presented an update on the

John Bradshaw inquired about the cause of 32% of the contracts being out of state. Mike
Williams explained it’s been a busy time in our valley. The packages we are building now are
more of a manageable size for local companies.
Bradshaw asked how the bid goes out to new contractors for phase four? Williams explained our
prequalification process, how the team goes through bids and the different classifications.
Bill Wyatt explained how HD, PMT and Big D will stay in place so we don’t have to demobilize.

Bradshaw asked if there are concerns for the future supply of materials. Williams explained we
have some areas where material have arrived late, but we are in a good position right now. Wyatt
added as we get into steel and more complex areas we anticipate seeing the impact on supplies
and inflation.
D. NBA All-Star Airport Game Plan- Nancy Volmer, Communication and Marketing
Director
Nancy Volmer, Communication and Marketing Director presented an update on the NBA All-
Star Plan. Main points included were,
