SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 10 of 1999
(Intermodal Center Enterprise Fund)
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN INTERMODAL CENTER
ENTERPRISE FUND; DESCRIBING THE PURPOSES OF SUCH FUND; AND
RELATED MATTERS.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. There is hereby enacted a new Chapter 73 of
Title 2 of the Salt Lake City Code to read as follows:
Chapter 2.73.
Intermodal Center Enterprise Fund
2.73.010. Purpose
The Mayor and the City Council declare it to
be the policy of the City to plan, develop,
acquire, construct, own and operate an intermodal
transportation center. The Intermodal Center
shall consist of a site acquired by the City,
together with certain structures, improvements and
facilities to be located thereon, including all
necessary railroad and light rail tracks and
switches, a station, public parking facilities,
ticketing facilities, retain facilities, and
certain service and maintenance facilities. It
will be designed and operated as a central hub for
various modes of public and private
transportation.
2.73.020. Administration.
The planning, design, acquisition,
construction, operation and maintenance of the
Intermodal Center shall be administered by the
Mayor and such other City officers and personnel
as the Mayor shall designate.
2.73.030. Intermodal Center Enterprise Fund. The
Intermodal Center shall be administered and financed on
an enterprise fund basis. There is hereby established
an Intermodal Center Enterprise Fund for this purpose.
The Intermodal Center Enterprise Fund shall be subject
to and administered in accordance with all applicable
provisions of the Uniform Fiscal Procedures Act for
Utah Cities, or its successor, and the Uniform
Accounting Manual for Utah Cities.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon
publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
9th day of February, 1999.
