No. 11 of 1984
(Alley Vacation )
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE EAST
BANK ADDITION SUBDIVISION, SAID ALLEY BEING 16 FEET WIDE AND
RUNNING NORTH FROM GARFIELD AVENUE TO DOWNINGTON AVENUE BETWEEN
LAKE STREET AND 8TH EAST STREET, SALT LAKE CITY.
WHEREAS, The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds
after a public hearing, that the City's interest in the alley
described below which was platted within the East Bank Addition
Subdivision is no longer necessary for use as a public way and
that the vacation of said alley described below will not be
adverse to the interests of the general public .
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah :
SECTION 1 . ALLEY VACATION. An alley located within the
Fast Bank Addition Subdivision, running north from Garfield
Avenue to Downington Avenue between Lake Street and 8th East
Street approximately 254. 1 feet, which is the subject of Petition
No. 400-116 of 1983 submitted by Annamae Barrus, and more a,

particularly described below be, and the same hereby is VACATED CP
�.Q and declared no longer to be needed or available for use as a W
public alley or public way: ;
4 Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 6 , Block
2, East,, Bank Addition, a subdivision of Block 2,
j Five _Acre Plat "A" , B.F.S. , and running thence
East 16 . 0 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 7;
thence South 254 . 1 feet more or less to the
Southwest corner of Lot 1 ; thence West 16 . 0 feet
to the Southeast corner of Lot 2; thence North
254 .1 feet more or less to the point of beginning .
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT TO
all existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities
of any and every description now located on, in, under or over
the confines of the above-described property; and ALSO SUBJECT TO
the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of obtaining ,
altering, replacing, removing, repairing or reroutinu said
utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existinq rights of way
or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
