intersection of Harvard Avenue and 200 East
Street northward from Hampton Avenue)
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AN ALLEY RUNNING EASTWARD FROM THE
INTERSECTION OF HARVARD AVENUE AND 200 EAST STREET NORTHWARD FROM
HAMPTON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, a request by John Kuepper, known as Petition No .
149 of 1982 requesting the vacation of an alley which begins at
the intersection of 200 East Street at Harvard Avenue at approxi-
mately 1105 South, then runs east for approximately 583 feet and
then turns south for approximately 277 feet exiting onto Hampton
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City finds, after public hearing , that this
alley is not needed for use as a vehicular thoroughfare and that
with the reservation of certain easements and conditions
subsequent, the closure of said alley will not be adverse to the
general public 's interest, nor will it have the effect of
relinquishing or terminating the City's interest in the
underlying property; and
WHEREAS, it is the express intention of the City to retain

its ownership interest in said alley. o

the 5-acre plat A, Big Field Survey, abutting Lots 1 , 18 , 19 and
20 of the Jackson Square Subdivision, more particularly described
as follows, is hereby closed and declared no longer to be avail-
able for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way by the
public, but title to the City's interests therein shall be
reserved and retained by Salt Lake City Corporation:
Beginning at a point of the Southeast corner of Lot 106
of Jackson Square, a subdivision of Lots 1 , 18 , 19 and
r 20, Block 21 , Five Acre Plat "A" , Big Field Survey,
bearing base being the monument line in 300 East
Street ; thence North 117.0 feet; thence Northwesterly
7 . 2 feet more or less to a point on the North property

property line of Lot 120; thence North 12 feet; thence
East 601 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 105;
