AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE
CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE
DISTRICTS PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-93-42.
WHEREAS, in response to rezoning petition No. 400-93-42, the
City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings
before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has
taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and
demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of
its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council
has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the property
located at approximately 10 Dorchester Drive is appropriate for
the development of the community in that area; and
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby
adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of
Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section
21.14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of
boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is, AMENDED
to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts --Use District Map
Adopted.
That the following -described parcel of real property in Salt
Lake City, Utah presently zoned Residential "R-5"/"F-1" and "R-
1"/"F-1" is hereby rezoned Residential "R-lA" with the Foothill
overlay "F-1" and the Use District Map is amended accordingly:
DORCHESTER POINT REMAINING REZONE PARCEL
A portion of land located in the East half of Section 25,
Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian being
more particularly described as follows.
Beginning at a point being the southwest corner of Lot 8, Ensign
Downs Plat "B"; A subdivision as recorded in the Salt Lake
County's recorders office; said point also being due South
3579.621 feet and due west 2841.953 feet from the North quarter
corner of Section 30, Township 1 North, Range 1.East, Salt Lake PI�5•
Base and Meridian and running South 75°25'44" West 440.882 feet T7
to the westerly boundary of that certain parcel of land described
in entry'4673609 in book 6062 page 2080 of the official records flit/fly
of Salt Lake County; thence along said westerly boundary the /D/
