012 of 2019 - Amending the zoning of property located at 515 South 400 East Street from RO Residential/Office Dist 0 19-1 P 19-2 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 12 of 2019 (Amending the zoning of property located at 515 South 400 East Street from RO Residential/Office District to R-MU Residential/Mixed Use District, and amending the Central Community Master Plan Future Land Use Map) An ordinance amending the zoning map pertaining to property located at 515 South 400 East Street from RO Residential/Office District to R-MU Residential/Mixed Use District pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2018-00643 and amending the Central Community Master Plan Future Land Use Map pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2018-00642. WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission held a public hearing on October 24, 2018, on an application submitted by Rockworth Companies, LLC (representing Third South, LLC)to rezone property located at 515 South 400 East Street (Tax ID Number 16-06-454-023) (the "Property") from RO Residential/Office District to R-MU Residential/Mixed Use District pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2018-00643 and to amend the Central Community Master Plan Future Land Use Map with respect to the Property from Residential/Office Mixed Use to High Mixed Use pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2018-00642; and WHEREAS, at its October 24, 2018 meeting,the planning commission voted in favor of forwarding a negative recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council on said applications; and WHEREAS, Urban Alfandre, LLC and Thrive Development succeeded Rockworth Companies, LLC as the applicant in February, 2019; and WHEREAS, after a public hearing on this matter the city council has rejected the planning commission recommendation and has determined that adopting this ordinance is in the city's best interests. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Amending the Zoning Map. The Salt Lake City zoning map, as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts, shall be and hereby is amended to reflect that the Property located at 515 South 400 East Street(Tax ID Number 16-06-454-023), and as more particularly described on Exhibit"A" attached hereto shall be and hereby are rezoned from RO Residential/Office District to R-MU Residential/Mixed Use District. SECTION 2. Amending the Central Community Master Plan. The Future Land Use Map of the Central Community Master Plan shall be and hereby is amended to change the future land use designation of the Property identified in Exhibit"A" from Residential/Office Mixed Use to High Mixed Use. SECTION 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication.
