No. 13 of 1999
(Rezoning portions of the Arcadia Heights,
Indian Rock and Scenic Heights Subdivisions)
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PORTIONS OF THE ARCADIA HEIGHTS,
INDIAN ROCK AND SCENIC HEIGHTS SUBDIVISIONS, FROM SR-1 AND
R-1-12,000 TO FR-3, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-98-70.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has
held public hearings before its own body and before the
Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration
citizen testimony, filing and demographic details of the
area, the long-range general plans of the City, and any
local master plan as part of its deliberations. Pursuant to
these deliberations, the City Council has concluded that the
proposed change in zoning for portions of the Arcadia
Heights, Indian Rock and Scenic Heights Subdivisions in the
areas located east of Foothill Drive and south of 1700 South
is appropriate for the development and preservation of the
community in that area.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That portions of the Arcadia Heights
Subdivision and the Indian Rock Subdivision, more
particularly described on Exhibit " A" attached hereto,
shall be and hereby are rezoned from SR-1 to FR-3.
SECTION 2. The portions of the Arcadia Heights
Subdivision and the Scenic Heights Subdivision, which are
more particularly described on Exhibit " A" attached
hereto, shall be and hereby are rezoned from R-1-12,000 to
FR-3.
SECTION 3. Amendment of Zoning Map. The Salt Lake
City Zoning Map, as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code,
relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts,
shall be, and hereby is amended consistent with the rezoning
identified above.
SECTION 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective on the date of its first publication and shall be
recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
16th day of February , 1999.
