014 of 1987 - Placing F-1 Overlay Zone over Entire Arlington Hills Neighborhood under Petition NO. 400-367-85 0 87-1 P 87-4 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 14 of 1987 (Placing the "F-l " Overlay Zone Over the Entire Arlington Hills Neighborhood Lying North and East of the Intersection of llth Avenue and Virginia Street up to the Present "P-l" Foothill Preservation Zone Pursuant to Petition No. 400-367-85 ) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUN DRIES OF USE DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, in response to Petition No. 400-367-85 by the Greater Avenues Community Council concerning rezoning of the entire Arlington Hills neighborhood lying north and east of the intersection of llth Avenue and Virginia Street up to the present "P-1 " Foothill Preservation Zone in the "F-1 " Overlay Zone, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and demo- graphic details of the area, and the Master Plan as part of its own deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations the Council has concluded that the proposed zoning change is appropriate for the development of the community; THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah, hereby adopts the following amendment to the Use District provisions of Title 51 . Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah: SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section 51-12-2, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended , relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be , and the same hereby is, amended as follows : Sec. 51-1 2-2 . Boundaries of Use Districts. That the following described parcel of real property in Salt Lake City , Utah, being the entire Arlington Hills neighborhood lying north and east of the intersection of llth Avenue and Virginia Street up to the present "P-1 " Foothill Preservation Zone, be, and the same hereby is, rezoned to be included in the "F-1" Overlay Zone and the Use District Map is amended accordingly: Beginning at a point which is the northwest corner of the intersection of llth Avenue and Virginia Street; thence northwesterly along the north right-of-way line of llth Avenue 330 feet f to the existing "F-1 " overlay zoning boundary ; thence north along said "F-1" zone line 500 feet f; thence northwesterly along said boundary 800 feet t, thence northeasterly 1200 feet f along said "F-1 " boundary line to a point on the east section line of Section 32, Township 1 North, Range 1 East, Salt Lake Base & Meridian; thence north along said section line 1400 feet ± to the northwest corner of Lot 13, Arlington Hills Plat "D" Subdivision; thence southeasterly along the southwest right-of-way line of Scenic Drive 975 feet f; thence south 9. 1 feet; thence easterly 500 feet .t to the southeast corner of Lot 3, Arlington Hills Plat "L" Subdivision; thence south 55 feet .f to the northwest corner of Lot 11, Arlington Hills Plat "L" Subdivision; thence southeasterly 1529. 2 feet along the existing "P-1" zone boundary to the northeast corner of Lot 9, Arlington Hills Plat "E" Subdivision ; thence southeast and southerly 1264 feet f along the existing "P-1 " zone boundary to the southeast corner of Lot 8, Arlington Hills Plat "H" Subdivision; thence west 1600 feet f along the existing "F-1 " boundary to the east right-of-way line of Virginia Street; thence westerly 1412. 68 feet along the south right-of-way line of Virginia Street ; thence north- westerly 123. 63 feet to the point of beginning . -2- w SECTION 2.
