(Centennial Park No . 4 Annexation and Zoning)
AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY TO
INCLUDE THE "SALT LAKE CENTENNIAL PARK ANNEX NO. 4"; ZONING THE
SAME INDUSTRIAL "M-lA", BY AMENDING THE USE DISTRICT MAP AS
ADOPTED BY SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE
CITY, UTAH, 1965; AMENDING THE SALT LAKE CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND
SCHOOL PRECINCT BOUNDARIES MAP .
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Recorder of Salt
Lake City, Petition No. 8 of 1982 together with a plat showing a
tract of land , hereafter known as "Salt Lake Centennial Park
Annex No. 4" , requesting that the tract of land hereinafter
described be taken within the limits of Salt Lake City
Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the petition is signed by a majority of the owners
of the real property and the owners of more than one-third in
value of all the real property, as shown by the last assessment
rolls, situated in the tract hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the petitioners have caused accurate plats or maps
to be made and certified by a competent surveyor and approved by GO
the C i ty Engineer to be filed with the City Recorder; and '*+

WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, on April1
13 , 1982 passed Resolution 37 of 1982 , accepting Petition No . 8
of 1982 for the purposes of review and hearing; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City after examining
said petition; having said petition reviewed by various
departments of. the City; having considered the circumstances
there at publicly advertised hearings held May 11 , 1982 and
February 14 , 1984 ; and having found after finding said proposed
extension or annexation to be consistent and in keeping with its
Master Annexation Policy Declaration, in a portion of area 1 of
said Declaration as adopted June 20, 1979 and Area 1 B as amended
February 14 , 1984; said Council voted by majority vote of all of
its members in favor of said annexation; and
WHEREAS, no objection or contest of such annexation
amendment to the Policy Declaration has been filed as required by
law.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah.
SECTION 1 . AREA. That the City limits of Salt Lake City,
be , and the same hereby are, enlarged and extended so as to
include the following tract of land in Salt Lake County , Utah :
A parcel of land in all of Section 13 and the north 50 feet
of Section 24 , T. 1 S. , R. 2 W. , S. L. B.& M. including approximately
650 acres between 1300-2100 South from 4800-5600 West.

the southeast corner of said Section 13 ; thence

50.00 feet to the point of beginning. Containing
651 . 052 acres.
SECTION 2. ZONING. Be it further ordained and declared
that the whole property above described under Petition No . 8-82
and the said hereby is zoned Industrial "M-lA" . The Use District
Map as adopted by Section 51-12-62 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City , Utah, 1965 as amended , relating to the fixing of
boundaries of Use Districts is hereby amended by the addition of
said property to such classification.
SECTION 3. THE CITY COUNCIL AND SCHOOL DISTRICT MAP. The
"Salt Lake City Council District and School Precinct Boundaries
Map" is hereby amended to include the parcel specified in Section
1 of this Ordinance, in Council District No. 2 and School
Precinct 3 as specified on such map.

SECTION 4. GENERAL JURISDICTION. Be it further ordained CA

and declared that the said tracts of land described above in
Section 1 shall thenceforth be within the corporate limits of
Salt Lake City Corporation. Said tracts of land shall be zoned 0*)

as provided in Section 2. All ordinances, jurisdictions, rules
and obligations of or pertaining to Salt Lake City are extended
over and made applicable and pertinent to this tract of land; and
the streets, blocks, alleys and ways of said tract shall be
controlled and governed by the ordinance, rules and regulations
of said City in that behalf. The Monuments of the City Engineer
shall thenceforth be taken therein as the standards of location
and the distances of said land.
SECTION 5. FILINGS AND NOTICE. Upon the passage and
publication of this ordinance, the City Recorder of Salt Lake
City is hereby directed to file with the County Recorder of Salt
Lake County, a copy of the map or plat above mentioned , duly
certified and acknowledged as provided in such cases together
with a certified copy of this ordinance . The City Recorder is
further directed to provide notice to the State Tax Commission
under the provisions of Section 11-21-1 , Utah Code Annotated ,
1953, as amended .
SECTION 6. PUBLICATION AND EFFECT. This ordinance shall
take effect upon the date of its first publication. Publica-
tion shall not occur until the annexation plat or map, has been
properly submitted , approved and signed by the Mayor and neces-
sary parties.
