Pursuant to Petition No. 400-96-1.)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21A-11-2 OF THE SALT LAKE CITY
CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF ZONING
DISTRICTS PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-96-1.
WHEREAS, in response to Rezoning Petition No. 400-96-1, the
City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings
before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has
taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and
demographic details of the area, the long range General Plan for
the City, and any local Master Plan as part of its deliberation.
Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that
the proposed change of zoning for certain property located on the
block between 300 and 400 North and between 500 and 600 West in
Salt Lake City, Utah, is appropriate for the development of the
community in that area;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah
hereby adopts the following amendments to the Zoning Map adopted
pursuant to Title 21A.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Zoning Map, as adopted by Section
21A.11.2 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of
boundaries of Zoning Districts, be, and the same hereby is,
AMENDED to read as follows:
Sec. 21A.11.2 Zoning Map.
That the following -described parcel of real property in Salt
Lake City, Utah presently zoned Special Development Pattern
Residential District "SR-1" is hereby rezoned Light Manufacturing
District "M-1" and the Zoning Map is amended Accordingly:
COMMENCING at the southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 117,
Salt Lake City Survey Plat A; thence north
approximately 660 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 6
of said block; thence west 54 feet; thence south 165
feet to a point on the north property line of Lot 4 of
said block; thence west approximately 111 feet; thence
south approximately 82.5 feet; thence east
approximately 16.5 feet; thence south approximately 132
feet; thence west approximately 49.5 feet; thence south
approximately 33 feet; thence east approximately 23
feet; thence south approximately 82.5 feet to a point,
said point being 115.5 feet east of the northwest
property line of Lot 2 of said block; thence east
approximately 92.5 feet to a point, said point being
82.5 feet from the northeast corner of Lot 2 of said
block; thence south 165 feet; thence east approximately
82.5 feet to the point of beginning.

Section 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon the date of its being first published and
recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
