019 of 1983 - Amendment of Section 51-12-2 Zoning and Fixing Boundaries of Use Districts IMICROFILMED 1P 827-357 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 19 of 1983 (Rezoning Property Located at 131 North 900 [Wiest) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51 -12-2 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY , UTAH, 1965 AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS. WHERAS, in response to Petition 152 of 1982 initiated by Ben A. Medina requesting a change of zoning, the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah has held a public hearing to consider said petition and the recommendation of the Planning Commission that certain property located at 131 North 900 West, Salt Lake City, presently zoned Residential "R-6" should be rezoned to a Commercial "C-1 " classification. The Council has taken into consideration citizen testimony, and planning and demographic data of the area, and based upon the same, finds that the proposed rezoning is appropriate to enlarge the existing commercial zoning area in the neighborhood; and WHEREFORE the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions in Title 51. NOW, THEREFORE be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah : SECTION 1 . That the Use District Map as adopted by Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965 as amended , relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is amended as follows : Sec. 51-12-2. Boundaries of Use Districts. That the following described parcel of residentially zoned land in Salt Lake City, Utah generally located at 131 North 900 West Street, currently zoned Residential "R-6" is hereby rezoned to a Commercial "C-l" classification and the Use District Map is amended and changed accordingly. Residential "R-6" to Commercial "C-1" : Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 1 Block 65 Plat C Salt Lake City Survey, running thence north along the east line of Lot 8 of said block 80 feet; thence west 165 feet; thence south 80 feet to the north lot line of said Lot 1; thence east along said north lot line 165 feet to the point of beginning . (Contains 0.30 acres more or less ) . SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the date of its first publication.
