No. 2 of 1986_
(Rezoning an area between 1300 South and 1700
South and 700 East and 1100 East from "R-4" to
"R-211; "R-4" to "R-3A"; and "B-3" to "R-2")
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELAT-
ING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS .
WHEREAS, in response to the request pertaining to
zoning initiated by the Sugar House Community Council, said
petition being known as Petition NO. 400-277-A of 1985, the
City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public
hearings before its own body and before the Planning
Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen
testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and
the master plan as part of its own deliberation. Pursuant
to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that the
proposed change of property located at approximately as
above zoning classification is appropriate for the
development of the community in that area;
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
hereby adopts the following amendment to the Use District
provisions of Title 51 .
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Utah :
SECTION 1 . That the Use District Map, as adopted by
Section 51-12-2, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1965, as amended, relating to the fixing of boundaries of
Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is AMENDED as
follows :
Sec. 51-12-2 . Boundaries of Use Districts . That the
following-described parcel of real property in Salt Lake
City, Utah, presently zoned Residential "R-411, is hereby
rezoned to a Residential "R-2" classification, and the Use
District Map is amended accordingly.
Residential "R-4" to "R-2" .
Commencing on the northeast corner of 1700 South
and 700 East Streets and running thence North
along the East line of 700 East Street 2314 . 17
feet, said point being 111 .25 feet North of
Harrison Avenue; thence East along a line parallel
to the North line of Harrison Avenue 795 . 82 feet
to the East line of 800 East street; thence North
along the East line of 800 East Street 576 . 9 feet
to the South line of 1300 South Street; thence I�2
East along the South line of 1300 South Street
2186 . 95 feet to a point 125 feet West of the West Iti�
line of 1100 East Street; thence South along a
line parallel to the West line of 1100 East Street
2895 . 63 feet to the North line of 1700 South
Street; thence West along the North line of 1700
South Street 2981 . 04 feet to the point of
beginning; except that portion commencing at the
northwest corner of Logan Avenue and 900 East
Street, said point being the southeast corner of
Lot 1, Block 2, Perkins 3rd Addition to Grandview
Subdivision, a subdivision of Block 15, Five Acre
Plat A, Big Field Survey; thence West along the
North line of Logan Avenue 288 . 0 feet to the
southwest corner of Lot 14; thence North 212 .5
feet; thence East 288 . 0 feet to the West line of
900 East Street; thence South 212 .5 feet to the
point of beginning.
And the following parcel of real property in Salt Lake City,
Utah, presently zoned Residential "R-4" is hereby rezoned to
a Residential "R-3A" classification and the Use District Map
is amended accordingly.

Addition to Grandview Subdivision, a subdivision

thence West along the North line of Logan Avenue
288 . 0 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 14;
thence North 212 . 5 feet; thence East 288 . 0 feet to
the West line of 900 East Street; thence South
212 .5 feet to the point of beginning.
And the following parcels of real property in Salt Lake
City, Utah, presently zoned Business "B-3" are hereby
rezoned to a Residential "R-2" classification and the Use
District Map is amended accordingly.
Business "B-3" to Residential "R-2" .
Commencing at a point in the East line of 900 East
Street, said point being 125 feet South of the
southeast corner of 1300 South and 900 East
Streets, said point being the southwest corner of
Lot 13, Block 1, Bellevue Park, a subdivision of
Block 1, Five Acre Plat A, Big Field Survey;
thence South along the East line of 900 East
Street 115 feet; thence East 125 feet; thence
North 115 feet; thence West 125 feet to the point
of beginning.
Commencing at a point along the East line of 900
East Street, said point being 46.5 feet South of
the southeast corner of Logan Avenue and 900 East
Street; thence South along the East line of 900
East Street 135 feet to the southwest corner of
Lot 36, Block 1, Perkins Addition, a subdivision
of Block 15, Five Acre Plat A, Big Field Survey;
thence East along the South boundary line of said
Lot 36 125 feet; thence North 135 feet; thence
West 125 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2 . EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be
effective upon publication.
