AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE
EVANS ADDITION TO POPLAR GROVE SUBDIVISION, SAID ALLEY BEING 15
FEET WIDE AND RUNNING EAST/WEST BETWEEN CHEYENNE AND MONTGOMERY
STREETS, DIRECTLY NORTH OF, AND PARALLEL TO 800 SOUTH STREET IN
SALT LAKE CITY .
WHEREAS , the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds
after a public hearing, that the City's interest in the alley
described below which was platted within the Evans Addition to
Poplar Grove Subdivision is no longer necessary for use as a
public way and that the vacation of said alley described below
will not be adverse to the interests of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . ALLEY VACATION. An alley located within the
Evans Addition to Poplar Grove Subdivision, running east/west
between Cheyenne and Montgomery Streets, directly north of , and
parallel to 800 South Street, which is the subject of Petition tQn

No. 400-101 of 1983 submitted by Kay Freckleto n, et al . , and more
particularly described below be, and the same hereby is VACATED
and declared no longer to be needed or available for use as a

public alley or public way:
Beginninq at the southwest corner of Lot 16, Block
6, Evans Addition to Poplar Grove Subdivision,
located in the west 1/2 of the northeast 1/4 of
Section 10 , T1S, R1W, Salt Lake Base & Meridian, lit
and running thence east 374 .6 feet more or less to
the southeast corner of Lot 21 ; thence south 15 . 0 t
feet to the northeast corner of Lot 1; thence west
374 . 6 feet more or less to the northwest corner of
Lot 15 ; thence north 15 .0 feet to the point of
beginning.
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT TO
all existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities
of any and every description now located on, in, under or over
the confines of the above-described property; and ALSO SUBJECT TO
the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of obtaining ,
altering, replacing, removing, repairing or rerouting said
utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights of way
or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
