025 of 1992 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5.50.180, 6.12.040 AND 6.20.010, SALT LAKE CITY CODE,"RELATING TO HOU0 92-1 0 92-7 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 25 of 1992 (Hours of Operation) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5.50.180, 6.12.040 AND 6.20.010, SALT LAKE CITY CODE,"RELATING TO HOURS OF OPERATION. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 5.50.180, Salt Lake City Code, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: 5.50.180 Beer or liquor --Sale, supply and service. It is unlawful for the club, acting through its employees or managing director holding a Class B license, or any employee, member, guest, club officer or director to: A. * * * B. * * * C. * * * D. * * * E. * * * F. 1. Serve beer on or at the premises, or facilities after one a.m. and before ten a.m. on any day; or 2. Serve liquor on or at the premises or facilities during the following days or hours: a. on the day of any state or national election until after the polls are closed; b. on Sunday and any state or federal legal holiday after twelve midnight and before twelve noon; c. on all other days after one a.m. and before ten a.m.; or 3. Permit any person to possess or consume beer or liquor on or at the premises or facilities between the hours of two a.m. and ten a.m. of any day. SECTION 2. That Section 5.50.185, Salt Lake City Code, pertaining to beer or liquor consumption be, and the same hereby is, enacted to read as follows: 5.50.185 Beer or liquor consumption. It is unlawful for any customer, guest or any other person to possess or consume beer or liquor on premises licensed by this Chapter between the hours of two a.m. and ten a.m. on any day. SECTION 3. That Section 6.12.040, Salt Lake City Code, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: 6.12.040 Hours of operation. A. It is unlawful and shall constitute an offense of strict liability for any holder of a Class B, C, D, E license, or any employee thereof to sell, dispose, give away or deliver beer, on the licensed premises between the hours of one a.m. and ten a.m. It is unlawful and shall constitute an offense of strict liability for any licensee of a Class A license, or any employee thereof, to sell, dispose, or give away, or deliver beer between the hours of one a.m. and seven a.m. 2 B. It is unlawful and shall constitute an offense of strict liability for any holder of a Class B, C, D, or E license, or any employee thereof, to permit the possession or consumption of beer on the licensed premises between the hours of two a.m. and ten a.m. C. It is unlawful for any customer, guest or any other person to possess or consume beer on premises licensed under this title between the hours of two a.m. and ten a.m. SECTION 4. That Section 6.20.010, Salt Lake City Code, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: 6.20.010 Hours for liquor consumption. A. It is unlawful for any licensee, operator or employee of a licensee hereunder to sell, dispose, give away or deliver liquor on premises licensed under this title between the hours of one a.m. and ten a.m. B. It is unlawful for any licensee, operator or employee of a licensee hereunder to permit the possession or consumption of liquor on premises licensed under this title between the hours of two a.m. and ten a.m. C. It is unlawful for any customer, guest or any other person to possess or consume liquor on premises licensed hereunder between the hours of two a.m. and ten a.m. SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE.
